From sketch to finished room.

Design that begins with how you live.

Wishful Living is led by Vaishali Babbar, an interior designer based in New Delhi with more than ten years of experience and a postgraduate qualification in interior design. She is also a lifelong painter, and that eye for colour, proportion and light shapes every project the studio takes on.

Before anything is drawn up, Vaishali sketches each space on her iPad, working through mood, layout and flow. You see how a room will feel, not only how it will look, before any work begins. The studio has designed and delivered 50,000+ sq ft of interiors.

About the Studio
Brass wall light, a lotus in a glass vase and a painted landscape wallpaper beside an upholstered headboard

From first visit to handover.

  1. Sheer curtains moving in daylight beside a wooden dining table and a hanging swing

    Brief

We visit your home or site to understand how you live, how light moves through each room, and what every space needs to do.

  2. Hand-painted floral arch above a bed, with a living room seen through the doorway

    Concept

Vaishali sketches the mood, layout and flow of each space before detailed drawings begin.

  3. Bedroom corner with a slatted timber ceiling edge, a wall light, a tall mirror and a carved wooden sideboard

    Design

Layouts, materials, lighting and colour come together in one plan, refined with you until it is right.

  4. Living room with a green sofa against a brick wall and two framed paintings

    Delivery

On turnkey projects we manage contractors and the site through to handover, so the finished space matches the design.

“She designed our house in Sarita Vihar, and it turned out exquisite. The colour combinations, the furniture, the space planning, everything was picture perfect. There’s no other house like ours in the whole locality. People actually come by just to get design inspiration for their own homes now.”
